Hancock in Drag
Duckie, Royal Vauxhall Tavern,

August 2018

An exploration of toxic masculinity through Drag, the medium of song, dance and interpretative mime. A characterisation of Tony Hancock, a tragic, mildly funny and undeniably depressing comedian, the ultimate darling of the BBC in the 1950s, our very own state sponsored media channel that has been historically complicit with all kinds of ‘wayward tykes’! A comi-tragic act that ends in a good ol knees up to Betty Driver!
